At SOTO, we believe strength is about more than how you move, it’s about how you show up in all areas of your life. Few women embody that balance quite like Molly Sims. Even while maintaining her decades-long career - spanning from a successful modeling career to creating her own skincare line, YSE Beauty - Molly has found a way to prioritize wellness and motherhood, without losing herself along the way.

In our conversation with Molly, she shares how her definition of strength and wellness has changed over time, the habits that keep her grounded, and why listening to your body — on and off the mat — matters more than ever.

1. If you had to boil your “wellness routine” down to just 5 minutes, what does that look like?

Wellness for me is never a perfect routine. On fast days, it might be five minutes of movement, a few deep breaths before the chaos starts, or doing my skincare with intention instead of rushing. Sometimes it’s a walk, sometimes it’s silence, sometimes it’s just choosing to pause. I used to hide in my closet a few years ago for a few moments of peace, but that’s just me.

2. How has your approach to wellness, specifically nutrition and supplements, evolved over time?

I’ve stopped overloading on fruit in the mornings and now focus much more on protein. I lean more toward green juices than heavy shakes to start the day. One supplement I’ve really come to believe in lately is creatine!

3. How do you balance strength training and cardio in your fitness routine?

I would say strength! I recently started lifting weights and I’m surprised I never did it sooner. I was always such a treadmill / cardio girl but I have been loving strength training. When I do want to get my cardio in, I love a SotoMethod class.

4. You’ve been a longtime fan of the SOTO workout. What initially drew you to the method and what has kept you coming back?

I always know what I’m getting with SOTOMethod. It’s efficient, it burns (in the best way possible), and it keeps my energy high when I need it most. It’s the ultimate full body workout.

5. You juggle a full schedule running a business, raising a family, and prioritizing your own well-being. What does a realistic day of wellness look like for you when balancing work, family, and fitness?

I’m usually the first one awake in my house. I sneak downstairs and make my morning supplement drink. It’s a mix of electrolytes, colostrum, creatine, and a vitamin C packet. I actually crave it now. Then I’ll squeeze in a workout downstairs which changes between lifting weights, or I’ll do 12-3-30 on the treadmill.

After that, I shower and do my AM skin prep: YSE Beauty Your Favorite Ex Exfoliating Pads, Morning Cocktail Vitamin C Serum, and Skin Glow SPF Primer. An instant glow trio that truly gets the job done, quick. Unless I’m shooting or speaking at an event, I keep makeup minimal, maybe a little blush and a lip for some color.

Once I’m at work, it’s a full day of zooms, check-ins, and finance meetings. When I’m driving between places, I love calling a friend and just catching up about anything — those 5–10 minutes really fuel me! By 3 p.m. I’m in full mom mode because showing up for them as a mom is just as important to me. The rest of the night usually revolves around sports practices or games... and lately, we’ve added cotillion into the mix!

6. With your skincare line, YSE Beauty, it’s clear that skin health is a priority for you. What inspired you to create a skincare brand focused on skin health and efficiency?

YSE Beauty was born out of necessity. My skin was changing, life was busy, and I wanted products that actually worked without a 12-step routine. Products that added value to my life instead of anxiety and wasted time! I wanted skincare that felt joyful, effective, and honest, created with the real skin concerns I was experiencing as I aged and the needs of women 35+ who were being overlooked. I made it my mission to always prioritize skin health, without sacrificing beauty or confidence.

7. What’s one piece of wellness advice you come back to again and again?

Don’t wait until you’re burnt out to take care of yourself. Wellness isn’t about doing the most, it’s about doing one small thing that makes you feel like you again. Drink the water, take the walk, breathe, laugh... and remember: you’re allowed to come first sometimes.
