SotoMethod Regional Studio Manager
Role Overview
The Regional General Studio Manager is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing the performance, culture, and operational excellence of SotoMethod’s three New York City studios. This person is a core member of the leadership team and plays a critical role in driving studio success, developing high-performing managers and teams, and ensuring new studios are fully staffed, trained, and operationally ready ahead of opening.
This role blends strategic oversight with hands-on leadership. You will own studio KPIs, mentor Studio Managers, support new studio openings, and ensure a consistent, best-in-class member experience across all locations.
Key Responsibilities
Regional Leadership & Studio Performance
- Own the overall performance of NYC studios, including revenue, attendance, retention, labor, and expense management.
- Set clear expectations and accountability for Studio Managers, ensuring consistent execution of brand standards and operating procedures.
- Analyze studio-level KPIs and trends, proactively identifying risks and opportunities to drive growth and efficiency.
- Partner with leadership on forecasting, goal setting, and performance improvement plans.
Team Development, Training & Culture
- Hire, train, mentor, and manage Studio Managers, supporting their growth as leaders and operators.
- Ensure each studio has the right staffing model in place, with strong hiring pipelines, onboarding, and training systems.
- Build and maintain a high-performance, hospitality-driven culture across all studios.
New Studio Openings (NSOs)
- Lead regional readiness for new studio openings, ensuring staffing, training, systems, and operational processes are in place ahead of launch.
- Oversee pre-opening hiring, onboarding, and on-site training execution.
- Serve as the primary operational leader during opening weeks to ensure a seamless launch and strong early performance.
Member Experience, Brand & Community
- Ensure a consistent, premium member experience across all locations.
- Support and oversee execution of local marketing initiatives, partnerships, brand activations, and community events.
- Act as a brand ambassador for SotoMethod, maintaining high visibility and strong relationships within the NYC fitness community.
Operational Excellence & Cross-Functional Leadership
- Ensure studios are clean, well-maintained, and properly stocked; partner with vendors and internal teams on facilities, inventory, and maintenance.
- Partner cross-functionally with Marketing, Training, Finance, and Leadership to execute initiatives and rollouts.
- Standardize best practices across studios while remaining agile in a fast-growing environment.
Qualifications
- 3-7+ years of experience in boutique fitness, hospitality, or premium retail management, with multi-unit oversight strongly preferred.
- Proven experience leading and developing managers and large teams in high-volume, customer-facing environments.
- Strong business acumen with comfort owning KPIs, budgets, labor models, and performance metrics.
- Experience supporting or leading new studio openings (NSOs) is a major plus.
- Highly organized, decisive, and proactive; thrives in fast-paced, high-accountability environments.
- Strong communicator with a hospitality-forward mindset and a deep appreciation for brand, culture, and community.
- Hands-on leadership approach with comfort being regularly on-site across studios, including occasionally stepping in for shifts, front desk support, or events to stay closely connected to day-to-day operations.
- Flexible schedule required, including some evenings, weekends, and travel between studios.
