The Assistant Studio Manager is responsible for daily operations, leading the front desk team, and delivering a best-in-class member experience in our boutique fitness studio. This role spans team leadership, project management, marketing execution, and operational excellence. You’ll work closely with the Studio Manager to drive performance and consistency, ensuring the studio runs efficiently and meets revenue goals.
Key Responsibilities
Studio Operations, Team Leadership & Culture
- Support the launch and day-to-day operations of a new studio opening, helping build systems, culture, and community from the ground up.
- Lead and develop the front desk team, including hiring, onboarding, training, scheduling, and performance management.
- Oversee daily studio operations including opening/closing procedures, facility standards, inventory, and staffing.
- Act as the on-site leader in the Studio Manager’s absence, ensuring consistency, accountability, and a high-touch member experience.
Member Experience, Marketing & Community Growth
- Deliver a hospitality-driven, premium member experience and foster strong, lasting member relationships.
- Partner with the marketing team to execute local initiatives, capture social content, and support member communications.
Support and execute brand activations, partnerships, pop-ups, and community events in a high-visibility, growth-focused market. - Drive membership conversions, renewals, and retail sales through exceptional service and product knowledge.
Business Operations, Reporting & Projects
- Track and report on key studio KPIs including revenue, attendance, expenses, and performance trends.
- Support budget management, vendor coordination, invoicing, and expense reconciliation.
- Lead and support studio-level projects including operational rollouts, class launches, facility updates, and team initiatives.
- Coordinate cross-functional communication and ensure projects are delivered on time and aligned with brand standards.
Qualifications
- 2-4 years of experience in operations or team leadership, with direct experience in a high-performing boutique fitness studio strongly preferred. Candidates from hospitality or premium, brand-driven retail environments with comparable operational complexity will also be considered.
- Proven experience managing teams, workflows, and day-to-day operations in a fast-paced, customer-facing setting.
- Demonstrated ability to support community-building, local marketing, or brand-led initiatives.
- Strong operational instincts, including comfort tracking KPIs, budgets, and performance metrics.
- Highly organized, proactive, and adaptable; able to wear multiple hats in an early-stage, high-visibility studio.
- Confident communicator with a hospitality-forward mindset and strong attention to detail.
- Comfortable with modern tools and systems (scheduling platforms, CRMs, internal comms).
